Smile Education are delighted to be working alongside a thriving primary school in north Birmingham. We are currently seeking a Year 1 Class Teacher to join this dynamic team from September 2024.

We are currently seeking a Year 1 Class Teacher to join the team from September 2024 until the end of the 2024/25 academic year. The successful applicant will be completing all of the usual roles and responsibilities associated with a class teaching position, including marking and planning. Both experienced Class Teachers and Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply for the role. Systems are already in place to support any ECT’s working towards their Induction terms.

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a forward thinking busy primary school environment. The school is based in north Birmingham, within proximity to Aston, Lozells, Saltley and Birmingham City Centre. The expected salary range for this role is between £140- 190 per day, depending on experience.

What to expect from applicants?

We would like applicants to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Early Career Teachers and experienced Class Teachers are both encouraged to apply.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

-        Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


-        Confident in delivering Year 1 curriculum, particularly phonics. Familiarity with Read, Write, Inc is desirable but not essential


-        Confident in supporting pupils performing below ARE with intervention, including working closely with TA’s and 1:1 LSA’s
