A well-established and reputable nursery located in Everton (L3) are looking to employ a nursery nurse from May 2024 onwards. The nursery provides exceptional early childhood education and care to children aged 1 – 4 years. With a nurturing and inclusive environment, we aim to create a strong foundation for each child's growth and development.

Position Overview: As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging atmosphere for children in the Nursery’s care. You will work closely with our dedicated team to facilitate learning, encourage social interaction, and promote the overall well-being of the children. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and passion for child development will be essential in ensuring a positive experience for both children and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's physical, social, and cognitive development.
  • Provide individualized care and attention to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment that fosters positive relationships among children, staff, and parents.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and development.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom setting, following health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to create and implement curriculum plans.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed about their child's activities, progress, and any concerns.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early childhood education setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A caring and patient demeanour, with a genuine love for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic first aid and safeguarding training (desirable).
