A fantastic opportunity awaits at a client school in Grimsby, where a vacancy for a Class Teacher has opened up. We are currently seeking an experienced EYFS specialist to lead a class of 28.

Role:

As a Class Teacher, your responsibilities will encompass teaching young children across the curriculum. A creative and imaginative approach is essential, along with the ability to implement effective learning strategies and adaptive resources to inspire and motivate the children in their learning and development.

Creating a safe and conducive learning environment is paramount. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to connect with the children in a relatable manner. You will regularly communicate the progress and development of pupils, summarizing achievements and relevant observations.

Motivated by the desire to drive each child's development, you will play a crucial role in preparing them for a successful transition into Year 1 learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and stimulate children's learning abilities, encouraging experiential learning
  • Provide pastoral care and support, fostering a secure learning environment
  • Assist in the development of personal, social, language, and physical coordination abilities
  • Develop and produce visual aids and teaching resources
  • Encourage mathematical and creative development through various mediums
  • Cultivate curiosity and knowledge in children through stories, songs, games, drawing, and imaginative play
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, nursery nurses, and volunteers to plan and coordinate activities both indoors and outdoors
  • Share gained knowledge with colleagues and maintain positive relationships with parents
  • Observe, assess, and record each child's progress
  • Ensure the health and safety of children and staff during all activities
  • Stay updated on changes in the curriculum and best practices

Salary:

The rate of pay is experience-dependent, ranging between £115 and £160 per day. Term time only.

Working Hours:

Full-time hours (Minimum 8.30 am – 3.30 pm). Additional hours may be required for staff meetings, inspections, and parent consultations.

Qualification and Vetting:

Candidates must provide proof of appropriate qualifications for the post (UK QTS certification), and NQTs are welcome to apply. Successful candidates will undergo 'Child Only' DBS checks as part of our vetting procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
