Autism 1:1 Learning Support 

A specialist SEN provision in BL2 are looking for an Autism Support Assistant to join their provision, with only 96 students enrol between the age of 11 and 18. The school is committed to providing an enriching and supportive environment for students with Autism and Complex Learning difficulties. There are only You will work closely with the teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to support the holistic development and educational progress of students with SEN needs. Your role as a Support Assistant would be to find dynamic ways to keep students engaged and support their education, as well as adapting activities to assure that learning is accessible to all.

Responsibilities:

-          Support students with Autism and complex learning difficulties in their academic and social development.

-          Assist in implementing personalised learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student under guidance of the teacher.

-          Provide assistance with activities of daily living and personal care, as required.

-          Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Experience with Special Educational Needs in an specialist school setting is desirable but we welcome applications from all backgrounds.

You will need to have suitable references and a DBS certificate (or be eligible to apply).

This is a full-time role from 8:30 to 3.30 Monday-Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
